Secluded in Wyoming's beautiful Bridger-Teton National Forest just off Highway 89 rests the charming, rustic Old Mill Cabins. The Cabins reside on 7 acres of secluded forest and rugged mountain ranges. A quaint stream trickles not far from the cabins, adding to the relaxing feel Old Mill's Cabins brings.

Owners Rob and Rhonda Erikson built Old Mill Cabins from the ground up. Rob always dreamed of making his childhood explorations in Dry Wood Canyon more than just a walk away. He wanted to be able to live in those mountains and share the peaceful livelihood Dry Wood Canyon can bring. Rob's dream became a reality in 1996 when Rob and his family built and decorated two beautiful cabins. The Eriksons put their logging and interior design experience to use. They added incredible woodcarving designs and country-style paintings and furniture to the rooms. Later the neighboring barn was renovated for weddings and the Cottonwood cabin was added.

The cabins themselves include comfortable, clean bedrooms furnished with homestyle decor and quaint living areas. The Aspen and Lodgepole Cabin provides two queen beds, a vanity with a fridge underneath, and a bathroom. In the living area, all the cabins contain a gas fireplace with a recliner nestled up beside it, and a rocker on the front porch that oversees the canyon. Cottonwood Cabin has two bedrooms with a queen bed, one on the main floor and the other in the loft. The living area includes a pull-out couch beside the recliner and fireplace. From the large windows, you can hear the trickling stream and see the beautiful forest surroundings.

Rob and Rhonda are devoted to making Old Mill Cabins a great experience. Daniela M commented that when they stayed at Old Mill Cabins, “The host family was so nice, they even made a fire for us to make s'mores.” (TripAdvisor reviews, August 2020) (OldMillCabins.com)

Jean Ann gave Old Mill Cabins a 5-star review for their exceptional customer service and comfortable living space, saying, “The Ericksons (owners) were amazing and accommodating and we did have a few last minute requests (one at 11pm)! I felt at home and loved the location being so close to town and yet feeling like I was in the mountains. Highly recommend!" (Tripadvisor reviews, July 2019)

AGClayton commented on the quiet morning and evening he enjoyed sitting in the rocker on the front porch, saying the cabin was, “Wonderfully secluded and quiet, except for the sound of the little creek across the parking area, which is wonderful too...You could just see the sunset out through the small mouth of the canyon down the road. Probably our favorite all time place to stay in the West." (TripAdvisor reviews, July 2018)

Old Mill Cabins' canyon views, comfortable cabins, and vast acreage of space and beauty make it one of the top-stays in Afton, Wyoming, and across all of Star Valley.
